What to expect

Embark on a two-day guided tour to the scenic region of Normandy.

Day one begins with a journey to Normandy, where your first stop is Rouen. Here, an expert guide will lead you through the historic centre, showcasing the impressive Rouen Cathedral, medieval alleyways and lively pedestrian streets. From there, you'll travel to Honfleur, a port city rich in history and artistry. Enjoy some free time exploring its colourful houses and charming streets before indulging in lunch at a local restaurant. The afternoon is dedicated to the Beaches of Normandy, a significant World War II site symbolizing the 1944 Allied landings. Highlights include the American military cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer and Omaha Beach. If weather permits, a detour to Arromanches may be included. The day concludes in Caen, where you'll dine and stay overnight at a hotel similar to Novotel Caen.

Day two starts with a trip to Saint-Malo. After lunch in the historical centre, you'll proceed to Mont Saint-Michel, an awe-inspiring rocky islet dating back to the Middle Ages. Upon entering through the King's Gate, you'll discover Grande Rue, home to main museums, shops and medieval houses. Ascend the Grand Degré staircase to visit the 8th-century Benedictine abbey, boasting Gothic architecture and features like the cloister, dining hall and garden overlooking the sea. After touring the abbey, take a leisurely walk along the town walls to soak in the panoramic view. The tour concludes with a return journey to Paris.
