What to expect

Embark on a historical journey starting at the iconic Brandenburg Gate, a notorious site of Nazi propaganda in Berlin during the 1930s. A stone's throw away lies the Reichstag, where Hitler ascended to power. Here, your guide will vividly recount the Battle for Berlin. The tour then proceeds to the imposing Soviet Memorial, a poignant tribute to the sacrifices and losses endured by the Soviet Army in World War II.

The next stop is the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. As you traverse through its steel structures, you'll experience firsthand the profound impact this memorial has on its visitors. Following this, your guide will lead you to the site of Hitler's bunker, where you'll delve into the final days and humiliating downfall of the Third Reich. Continuing on, you'll encounter the memorial dedicated to the 1953 worker's uprising, situated beside the former Luftwaffe HQ.

Your guide will then accompany you along the remnants of the Berlin Wall, which borders the Topography of Terror - the former SS and Gestapo HQ. At Potsdamer Platz, you'll hear tales of a city divided. Discover how the Wall and No-Man's-Land were fortified with tank traps and enforced by a shoot-to-kill policy during 28 years of division. Your tour concludes at Checkpoint Charlie, a flashpoint and geopolitical hub during the Cold War. Here, you'll be engrossed in a riveting account of how the Wall fell on that fateful day in November 1989.
