Nafplio Town holds great history as it is the first capital of Greece since the victory of Greeks against Ottoman Empire at the revolution in 1821.
The first stop is the great Corinth Canal that connects the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. You can take pictures from the bridge that connects Peloponnesus with the rest of the country.
The next stop is the Ancient Epidaurus Theatre. The theatre is dedicated to the ancient Greek God of medicine, Asclepius. It was constructed in the late 4th century B.C. After that you'll see the prestigious olive oil domains where you can learn about Greek olive oil history and production. The family who runs the unit offers olive oil tasting, brunch and plenty of unique products for purchasing.
Then you'll visit the Fortress of Palamidi which was built in 1687. From up there you can see the great city of Nafplion. You can take a boat ride to Bourtzi Castle, visit local museums, walk in the old city, and have lunch in one of the traditional taverns of the town before going back to your hotel.
