What to expect
On the start of this tour, you'll be picked up directly from your hotel, and you'll first be taken to Dion, the religious centre of the ancient Macedonians dedicated to the worship of Zeus. The site is located by Mount Olympus, the mythical home of the Gods. In Dion, Alexander the Great offered rich sacrifices to the Gods before leaving for his legendary expedition to Asia.
There, you'll take part in a guided visit of the site and the museum. As a bonus, you can also enjoy an amazing view of the mountain and the forest surrounding it. The tour concludes in the charming, traditional village of Old Panteleimon. Wander through its narrow, stone-paved streets, lined with quaint houses and tucked-away tavernas.
