Ibiza - Evening Tour of Ibiza Town with Las Dalias Hippy Market
The old walled fortress perched at the top of Ibiza town is an atmospheric tangle of cobbled lanes normally only accessible by foot. Known as Dalt Vila, it's mostly residential but as you explore it, you'll discover the cultural sights tucked away along the narrow streets. After time exploring the old town, you'll head to the renowned Las Dalias Hippy Market. Martina, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Back in 1985 the market started with just five stalls. Fast forward to 2023, its 38th year, and though it has expanded to 250 stalls, it retains its distinct hippie charm more than ever.'First up, stroll around Dalt Vila, enclosed by monumental defensive walls with seven bastions, each offering a unique viewpoint of the city and the sea. Located at the highest point of Dalt Vila, the 13th-century Cathedral of Santa Maria offers more great views of Ibiza Town. Or perhaps you'd prefer to browse the designer boutiques and luxury shops of the modern Marina district down by the harbour. It's a vibrant and elegant area lined with waterfront cafés, bars and restaurants. After a couple of hours in the old town, you'll head for the famous Las Dalias Hippy Market. More of an institution than a market, it's a real potpourri of artisans and artists who design, make and sell their own handicrafts. Here you can pick up a fantastic variety of craft and fashion - from beads and bangles to original paintings of local beauty spots. You can even book a massage, or sit down for refreshments.

Supporting communities and causes
We support small business owners and projects in destination so that local communities can grow. Tour operators, restaurants and transport providers are often independent and family run.
Caring for our environment
Our experiences are designed to minimise their environmental impact, particularly in areas of high biodiversity. They may include eco-friendly transport, such as electric boats, and routes designed to reduce disruption to flora and fauna. They may also exclude single-use plastics.
What's the GSTC?
The Global Sustainable Tourism Council® (GSTC) establishes and manages global standards for sustainable travel and tourism, known as the GSTC Criteria. It's an independent and non-profit organisation whose goal is to achieve best practices in sustainable tourism.
How our process works
Every experience is assessed across up to 11 areas, from the environment to human rights. The goal is to maximise the benefits and minimise the negative impacts to a destination within local constraints. All activity and tour operators, restaurants, venues, guides and transport providers included in the experience are evaluated. This process is the first of its kind to be applied to experiences on a global scale and has been approved by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
Starting point
Our assessment is based on the GSTC criteria for Tour Operators and its pillars. Section A: Demonstrate effective sustainable management Section B: Maximise social and economic benefits to the local community and minimise negative impacts Section C: Maximise benefits to cultural heritage and minimise negative impacts Section D: Maximise benefits to the environment and minimise negative impacts
Our system
We've used the GSTC criteria to create an evaluation process across 11 areas: Legal & Compliance, Human Resources, Communication, Healthy & Safety, Charity & Donations, Environmental, Products & Services, Operations, Animal Welfare, Human Rights and Child Protection.
Application
All elements of an experience, from food to transport and activity suppliers, have to fill out a questionnaire covering up to 11 areas mentioned previously. The experience is then assessed on its individual elements and as a whole. If it meets the necessary requirements it gets labelled as 'Green & Fair'.
Auditing
Our sustainability management system and process have been audited by the independent body Control Union. They also perform annual on-site evaluations in destinations to monitor ongoing compliance.
“TUI Musement is not only driving sustainability within their operation and through their entire supply chain for experiences as they continue to monitor and evaluate, but also raising the bar to ensure a more sustainable approach throughout the industry.”
Randy Durband, Chief Executive Officer of GSTC
