Step into the expansive 9,000 square-metre museum in Bologna and plunge into the intriguing world of Ferruccio Lamborghini. The journey begins with the very first Carioca tractor that launched the brand in 1947, progressing through to the pivotal vehicles of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s.
The museum also proudly displays the famous designer's personal collection of cars, including an iconic model with gull-wing doors that inspired a vehicle used in the popular Back to the Future movie. As you meander through this fascinating assortment of vehicles, you'll gain insight into Lamborghini's life and his impressive portfolio of designs. Two particularly noteworthy exhibits are a helicopter prototype and the Fast 45 Diablo Class 1 offshore boat.
To further enrich your understanding, there is a meticulous reconstruction of the founder's personal office at the tractor company. This provides a glimpse into his life, his family, and the people who contributed to his companies during the economic boom of the late 1950s and 60s. This immersive experience offers more than just a display of vehicles; it tells a story of innovation, design, and ambition that has shaped one of the most prestigious car manufacturers in history.
