What to expect

Start your Florence guided tour from the very heart of the city, the Accademia Gallery, with a total immersion in the art of Michelangelo's and many other artists work.

Then proceed with an outdoor visit of San Lorenzo Church, and the Duomo complex, that includes San Giovanni Baptistery, with its famous Porta del Paradiso, and the Cathedral with the magnificent Cupola del Brunelleschi and Giotto’s bell tower. The walk continues along lively Via Calzaiuoli, where you can admire the imposing and singular Orsanmichele Church, till you reach Mercato della Paglia (Straw Market). Conitnue with Piazza Signoria, one of the most beautiful squares and Loggia dei Lanzi, that hosts many incredible sculptures including the Perseus by Cellini and the Rape of the Sabines by Giambologna. You will then arrive at the romantic Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, and end this first part of the tour in a typical Tuscan Restaurant, where you can taste delicious food.

In the afternoon enjoy the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, a treasure chest of inestimable artistic, led by your expert guide you will enjoy the beauty of the splendid marble choir, the complex of the precious stained-glass windows worked by Donatello, Ghiberti and Andrea del Castagno, and, looking up, the immense precious interior of the Dome entirely frescoed by Vasari, the biggest fresco in the world.
