What to expect
Florence is perfect for biking and this bike tour will take you where the regular bus tours can't - you'll have access to all the pedestrian areas and little tiny streets. It will take you less time than any walking tour, showing you roads away from the usual tourist paths, too far to be reached by foot and too tiny for the buses!
In three hours, you'll visit all the major tourist attractions under the experienced guidance of an entertaining and fun, professional history guide. Ride through the narrow streets of the historic center and the Oltrarno district, reaching the most amazing monuments of Florence and unknown spots for admiring the city: Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza Strozzi, the Duomo, Santa Maria Novella, the artisans' district, Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Square, Piazza della Signoria, Santa Croce and more.
Along the way, you'll stop at several locations for historical explanations and fun facts about the city, and for photo opportunities. Relax, enjoy the tour and even taste a delicious gelato (included)! Your licensed guide will help you discover most of the 'cradle of the Renaissance' in less time and in the funniest way... simply perfect as an introduction as well as for veterans. Either way, you'll agree that biking is the best way to explore this amazing city.
Important to know
- Infants (age 0-3): free of charge
- Options for bikers of any age and families are available: tandem bikes (2 seats), child seats (0-5 years) and bike trailers (6-8 years)
- The tour will never be canceled due to rain. In case of heavy rain, the tour leader might decide to stop the bike tour and proceed with a walking tour
- Third-party insurance for civil liability is included in the price of the tour. As for any vehicle rental, please note that you'll be given two options to choose from to cover vehicle damages (either one of these two will need to be chosen in order to rent the e-bike): additional insurance (€20 per vehicle, not refundable) or sign for a guarantee deposit of €500 on your credit card
