Visit the Aquarium of Genoa and discover innovative sets, latest-generation digital installations, and a completely renewed light and sound design. Interact with the staff who take care of the animals every day and learn all about the seas of the world. Since spring 2017, the Aquarium of Genoa has also renovated two areas dedicated to reptiles and amphibians and launched projects for the conservation and recovery of animals in difficulty. These new features add to an already rich and exciting journey.
With the same ticket, you can also explore the monumental complex of the Lanterna, the symbol of the city of Genoa. Walk the 800-meter promenade overlooking the harbor, which leads to the open-air museum in the park, the evocative museum in the ancient fortifications, and the imposing lighthouse. Take in views of Genoa from the top of its panoramic terrace.

- The visit to the Open Air Museum, Museum and Tower (first panoramic terrace) takes about 30 minutes. The visit to the Genoa Aquarium takes approximately 2h30
- The climb to the Lanterna is 172 steps (up to the first panoramic terrace)
- Access to the Lanterna is allowed to a limited number of people at the same time
- In case of an orange weather alert and/or storms, visits to the lighthouse will be suspended
- Medium or large backpacks, photo tripods or bulky items must be left in the cloakroom
- La Lanterna opening hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays. from 10.00 to 18.00 (last admission 17.30)
- Aquarium of Genoa opening hours: February, October - December: Monday – Friday: 10:00 – 20:00 (last entry 18:00). Saturday – Sunday – holidays: 9:00 – 20:00 (last entry 18:00). March - June and from 1st to 30th September: every day from 09:00 to 20:00 (last entry 18:00). From 1 July to 31 August: every day from 08.30 to 20.00 (last entry 18.00)
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult
- It's recommended to wear comfortable / gym shoes
