Start by learning the fundamental rules of Sumo and delving into the deep-rooted connection between Ryogoku and this ancient sport. As you traverse the town, insights and stories about Sumo will unfold, enriching your overall experience.

Your journey through Ryogoku starts from Edo Noren gai where you can see the real size of sumo ring. Your guide will explain the basic rules of Sumo and share some tips to enjoy the match. After that, walk around the town to visit some Sumo historical spots. Then, you'll make pit stops at an exclusive sumo souvenir shop and a traditional Japanese sweets store—both unique to this area.
