Join a local family at their dining table for a culinary journey that transports you into a different world. Each encounter is personal, involving only your party and the host family.

Upon meeting the local family and enjoying your first drink, you'll have the chance to assist them in meal preparation. Or, if you prefer, you can simply observe, jot down notes, and capture the moment with photographs. Just relax and savour the experience.

All host families have at least a basic command of English, providing an opportunity for engaging conversation and insight into everyday life in their country. Feel free to discuss anything you're curious about with your hosts, including sharing aspects of your own culture and homeland. Most host families are genuinely interested in learning about diverse cultures.

Important to know

Know in advance:

A minimum of 2 adults is required for this activity
On the terrace, you’ll find many shoes. It is customary to take off your shoes before entering a house
Clothes should respect the local culture and not show too much skin
The local family will invite you to help with the preparations of your meal
It is recommended to discuss when you or the local family want to take pictures (and/or post them on social media). Most of the time, everyone is fine with it
