On this self-guided audio tour around Rotterdam, you can start next to the Maritime Museum and then walk towards the Lage Licht – a cute little lighthouse that once guided ships through the Rotterdam Harbor.
Walking along the pier, you'll discover the Wijnhaven – a centuries-old dock that got a new life after the Second World War, where you can spot some of the ships that have become a part of local folklore. Explore the unique neighborhood of the Noordereiland, created in the nineteenth century when the Koningshaven was dug straight through the Kop van Zuid. Enjoy the architecture of the Wilhelmina Pier which was once a home port of the Holland America Line. Complete your journey at Katendrecht - a neighborhood connected with Wilhelmina Pier by a pedestrian and bicycle bridge.
