What to expect

Your night tour of Muscat will start in the old part of the Capital called Muttrah and you'll visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum. The Museum tour will provide you a wealth of information about the country's structure, cultural traditions, and heritage. Then it will be time to have a photo stop at the official residence of his Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq bin Said, The Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th-century Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali. From the Palace, you will travel through the old town, here you will pass some of the original houses.

Later you'll reach the picturesque Muttrah Corniche and visit Muttrah Souq which retains the chaotic interest of a traditional Arab market albeit housed under modern timber roofing. You will stroll through the Souq, where you will have the chance to buy try your bargaining skills for Omani specialties like frankincense and Omani daggers. Next, you will be taken to the port to enjoy a moment along the corniche admiring the various cruise ships and pass by the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and a final photo stop at the Royal Opera House before going back to your hotel.
