See some of the most iconic places in Krakow in one day! Take a guided walk around the Podgorze district to learn about the Krakow ghetto, visit the Schindler's Factory and finally go for an exploration of Wieliczka Salt Mine!
The Oskar Schindler's Museum is very popular among tourists, also thanks to the oscar-winning film "Schindler's List". The museum's atypical and modern exhibition will leave no one indifferent. Learn the story of a German entrepreneur who led many Jews through the war. The streets of Podgorze still keep evidence of those terrible events. You will see a part of the undestroyed wall around the ghetto, houses where thousands of displaced Jews used to live, the pharmacy "Under the Eagle", a monument with 68 chairs in the Heroes' Square in the ghetto.
After the visit to the museum, go to Wieliczka where you'll find one of the largest ancient salt mines in Europe. The depth of the mine is 340 meters, the total length of corridors and tunnels is over 245 kilometers. The tourist route is around 3 km long and includes more than 20 halls, among them St. Kinga's Church - the patroness of miners. The underground church is richly decorated with chandeliers, carvings and sculptures of saints carved out of salt. You will visit the mine with a licensed guide provided by the museum and then drive back to Krakow.
