Accessibility:

  • The museum is wheelchair accessible

Not allowed:

  • If your attire is deemed inappropriate, you may be denied entry. Please dress modestly out of respect for local culture, ensuring that shoulders and knees are covered
  • Food and drinks, coloured pencils, ink pens and markers are not allowed in the galleries
  • Tripods, selfie sticks and flash photography are not permitted

Know in advance:

  • Audioguide available in English, Arabic, Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Hindi, Kazakh, Korean and Turkish
  • Children aged 16 years old and under enter for free, but must be accompanied by an adult
  • Visitor Services staff begin clearing the galleries 45 minutes before closing time
  • Museum hours: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday: 9 am–7 pm. Thursday: 9 am–9 pm. Friday: 1:30 pm–7 pm
  • A limited number of abayas and shaylas are available for visitors to borrow during their visit
  • Small bags are permitted, but large bags must be stored in the cloakroom
  • All visitors are required to undergo a security check. The museum also reserves the right to inspect any bags brought onto the premises
