Private day trip to Dracula’s Castle

Depart from Bucharest and follow the scenic Prahova Valley to Sinaia, known as the “Pearl of the Carpathians” for its natural beauty and elegant architecture. Visit Peles Castle, former summer residence of Romania’s Royal Family, then continue to the 300-year-old Sinaia Monastery, a historic and artistic landmark.

Next, drive to Bran to explore the legendary Bran Castle, often linked to Dracula. Built as a fortress by the people of Brasov, it later served as a military base for Vlad the Impaler. Perched on a high rock, the castle impresses with its towers, Gothic style, and haunting legends. Though Vlad likely never lived here, its myth lives on. After your visit, enjoy free time in the souvenir market.

Then head to Brasov, a city framed by the Southern Carpathians and filled with Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance architecture. Founded by the Teutonic Knights in 1211 and settled by Saxons, Brasov has a rich medieval heritage. On a walking tour of the old town, see the Black Church, Council Square, Hirscher House, and elegant Austro-Hungarian buildings.

You will return to Bucharest in the late afternoon.
