Discover the most beautiful villages and the history of the interior of Girona! You will start the day trip leaving towards Castellfollit de la Roca, a spectacular Garrotxa village hanging on top of a volcanic cliff. You will walk through the center and, before leaving, you will visit a historic cookie factory and try some freshly made ones!
You will continue towards a medieval bridge of uncertain origin but of high historical importance, located on a very popular river in the region. There you will take a short break and soak in nature before continuing to the next town, one of the best known in Girona.
Once in Besalú, you will go on a guided tour through its old town and, when finished, you will have free time for lunch and wander around its streets, shops, the Fluvià river and, above all, its spectacular bridge and its important Jewish past.
You will end the afternoon in Banyoles, walking around the lake and learning about the geology, biology and configuration of the basin and the area. Did you know that no river reaches the lake? And, if the weather is good enough, you can even have a swim! This place is amazing.
