What to expect
Surrounded by scenic hills, Tenerife's lively capital is packed with elegant squares, historical buildings and beautiful monuments. After that, there's lunch included and then you'll have time at your disposal to discover the metropolis for yourself. You won't need to worry about transfers into Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as it's all sorted for you. After pick-up from your resort, you'll be whisked to the centre of the city for a guided walk and a visit to the Mercado nuestra señora de África, a great place to pick up some foodie souvenirs. Then, you'll stop by La Casa del Carnaval for an exclusive peek into the island's famed carnival culture. Get an insight into this spectacular festivity, which is in fact the second largest in the world, only surpassed by Rio.
After tucking into a freshly prepared lunch in a nearby restaurant, you'll round off the day with some time to explore under your own steam.
