What to expect
Ride with a cable car up to the Eggishorn viewpoint and enjoy a great view over the Great Aletsch Glacier.
After a 25-minute ride in Switzerland’s quickest cable car, you’ll arrive at the 2869m Eggishorn viewpoint. From here, you’ll admire the vastness of the 20km-long Great Aletsch Glacier (the longest in the Alps) with its 4000m-high peaks: the Mönch, the Eiger, the Jungfrau, and to the west, the Weisshorn, the Matterhorn, and the Mont Blanc. Take a photo from the official “Grand Tour of Switzerland photo point” and have a nice walk on the Eggishorn trail to the viewpoint.
Enjoy this 360-degree panoramic view of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

- The cable car departs at the Fiesch gondola station and changes at Fiescheralp in the direction of Eggishorn
- Remember to also exchange your return ticket at the cash desk in Fiesch
- Infants (age 0-5) get free admission
