A city as interesting as Bangkok is best explored on foot. And on this walking tour, you'll see some of its top spots with a twist. As day turns to night, Thailand's own 'City of Angels' comes alive with vibrant lights, sounds, sights and smells. A unique look at Wat Suthat, the Flower Market and Chinatown are all on the agenda, as well as a tasting session of the famous street food on offer in the capital.
After a late-afternoon pick-up, you'll dive straight into the Phra Nakhon area of Bangkok and to the Giant Swing – a Brahman religious structure dating back to 1794. Then, grab your cameras as you head to Wat Suthat, an important temple from the Rattanakosin era. See the temple in all its glory as it's lit up in the night sky. A short hop on public transport will see you in Pak Khlong Talat – or the Flower Market – next, where you'll mingle with the locals as they buy their goods.
And then comes Chinatown, known locally as Yaowarat. As you arrive, you'll be amazed by the energy here. Packed with market stalls, street-side restaurants and lots of gold shops, Chinatown is an experience not to be missed. Wander along Yaowarat Road – the main artery – and its side streets, taking it all in, before you end the tour sampling some of the delicious street food here.
