Option 1: One-way transfer from Bangkok to Koh Samet (about 4 hours total travel time)
Get collected at your hotel in Bangkok by private car which will bring you to the pier near Rayong in about 3 hours. At the pier, wait for the shared speedboat transfer to have enough people to do the transfer, and in just 10 minutes you will arrive at the pier in Koh Samet. (no hotel transfer in Koh Samet)
Option 2: One-way transfer from Koh Samet to Bangkok (about 4 hours total travel time)
Go to the pier in Koh Samet by yourself and board the shared speedboat in Koh Samet and in just 10 minutes you will be at the pier in Rayong, where a private taxi will be waiting for you. Board the car and get dropped off at your hotel in about 3 hours.

- The driver of the private car speaks a little bit of English, just enough to communicate
- If you need a quick stop, you can ask the driver during the private car ride
- Travel time might be a bit longer in case of heavy traffic in Bangkok
- There are no hotel transfers included in Koh Samet. For the one-way transfer from Bangkok to Koh Samet, the transfer will end when you arrive at the pier. You can take a local taxi there to your hotel. For the one-way transfer from Koh Samet to Bangkok, kindly ask your hotel to arrange a local taxi to the pier in Koh Samet

Then you'll visit the Golden Mount, just a short walk away, where you'll find Wat Saket. Climb the 344 steps up the golden chedi for views over old Bangkok. Prasit adds, ‘Wat Saket is an important landmark that sits on the only hill in Bangkok, and it holds great significance for all followers of The Lord Buddha. The stairs are long but they take you up to the top for panoramic views of Rattanakosin Island.'Then, it's on to the Giant Swing – or Sao Ching Cha – and Wat Suthat, one of the most important temples from the Rattanakosin era.
