Do this because

  • Admire the unique stone formations at the Giant's Causeway
  • Visit the unofficial 8th wonder of the World
  • Discover some of the most iconic Game of Thrones filming locations

What to expect

The first stop of the tour will be at Carrickfergus Castle, built by the Normans in 1177 AD. It remains one of the best-preserved medieval structures in Ireland and presents a great opportunity for photographs. Next, travel along the coastal road towards Carnlough Harbour for a comfort stop. Carnlough Harbour is an old picturesque fishing village and more recently famous for featuring in the famous Game of Thrones HBO show.

Venture further along the coast road towards Portaneevy viewpoint. Here you can see the famous Carrick-a-rede rope bridge (not currently accessible). The next location is the iconic Dark Hedges, which provides one of the best opportunities for that ‘Instagram’ photo! Fans of Game of Thrones will instantly recognize this as the King's Road. Then, head to the Old Bushmills Distillery, and make a quick photo stop at Dunluce Castle.

The next stop is finally the highlight of the tour: The Giant’s Causeway. The Giant's Causeway has often been described as the 8th wonder of the World, and once you have visited the site you’ll quickly see why.
