Why you’ll love this…

  • Soak up the magic as you explore the Isle of Skye with a local guide
  • Step into Scotland's myths and legends as you venture through local gems to the Highlands
  • Embrace your inner Scot as you try the country's favorite drink at a whisky tasting
  • Stop by Loch Ness and see if you catch a glimpse of the famous monster

What to expect

Embarking from Edinburgh, the journey begins with a visit to the iconic Kelpies. As you travel past Stirling, take in the views of the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle. After a lunch stop, the coach enters the Highlands, traverses through the wild Rannoch Moor and Glencoe, before reaching the charming fishing town of Oban for an overnight stay.

The second day's itinerary varies depending on the season. From mid-April till mid-October, at Fort William, those holding Jacobite Steam Train tickets will board the train, while the rest of the group stays with the guide who drives to Mallaig. Upon arrival in Mallaig, everyone boards a ferry to the Isle of Skye, heading towards the delightful Portree for another overnight stay. From mid-October to mid-April, instead, you'll travel through some of Scotland’s most awe-inspiring landscapes en route to Skye.

On the third day, explore the Isle of Skye with its majestic mountains, beautiful coastline, and local folklore before returning to the mainland. En route to Loch Ness, there's a stop at the EileanDonan Castle for an overnight stay in Inverness. The fourth day is spent in Inverness where you can keep an eye out for ‘Nessie’ during a cruise on Loch Ness. Then it's onto the ruins of Beauly Priory, used in the Outlander filming, followed by a visit to Culloden Battlefield and Clava Cairns.

The final day involves a visit to the Highland Folk Museum before heading to a local whisky distillery. Visit Dunkeld before returning to Edinburgh.
