Make your way from York and travel up to the North York National Park. The first stop is Pickering, an ancient market town on the border of the North York National Park. Visit the church with the oldest wall paintings in England.
From Pickering, you'll then make your way into the National Park where you can enjoy the spectacular landscape and have many opportunities to take wonderful pictures.
You'll then continue your tour to Goathland, a scenic moorland village. Here, you can visit Goathland Station, which was the set for ‘Hogsmeade’ in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Stop to enjoy lunch in Whitby, a traditional seaside town. Choose from pubs, restaurants, or even try the local 'fish and chips'. You can also visit the spooky ruins of Whitby Abbey which inspired the 'Dracula' novels, and take a peaceful stroll along the harbor.
After lunch, you'll travel through the heart of the moors, learning about the ancient traditions, folklore and legends that your tour guide will treat you with. There'll be a quick stop in Helmsley, a small market town, before you make your way back to York.
