Visit the LBJ Ranch at the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park where the late President Johnson was born, lived and is buried. A historic and picturesque German town where you can visit the Nimitz Museum and National Museum of the Pacific War. If you prefer, you can shop and eat lunch at an authentic German beer garden, check out a wine tasting or shop for western art, antiques and Texas-European fusion furniture. Experience the magic and music of Luckenbach, Texas, a tiny town close to Fredericksburg known for its German-Texan heritage. Here you will take a scenic route through the Texas Hill Country, back on Highway 290, and then on back to Austin.

Until further notice, guided tours of the interior of the “Texas Whitehouse” are cancelled per the National Park Service due to needed repairs. However, guests can still explore the LBJ Ranch grounds, view exhibition pieces and artifacts in the JetStar Hangar, watch an award-winning 14-minute film, and get a picture with LBJ’s infamous JetStar aka “Air Force One-Half”
Children (age 0-5) get free admission and do not require a ticket but please let the tour operator know in advance to coordinate enough seats in the vehicle
