Firstly, after the trip from Yerevan, we have a short stop for rest in Yeghegnadzor town. After some free time here, the journey will continue to picturesque Shaki Waterfall.
One of the highlights of this tour is undoubtedly the ride on the Wings of Tatev, the world’s longest reversible cable car, offering unparalleled views of the surrounding landscape as it carries you across the gorge to the monastery. In 2010, it got a place in the Guinness Book of record.
After completing this breathtaking flight on the Wings of Tatev, you will see Tatev monastery from the 9th century. It was Armenia’s top educational and spiritual centre. The astounding thing is that it is built on the high plateau in the Vorotan river gorge and is surrounded by dense forests and high mountains.
Moving forward, the place you will enjoy visiting is a winery. Here, you can get to taste the wine samples.
