What to expect
No trip to Queensland is complete without visiting the Daintree Rainforest. On top of that, if you've always wanted to learn traditional Aboriginal culture then this tour is even more perfect.
After your morning pickup, you will be driven to arrive at Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre where you will be welcomed to the land with a traditional Aboriginal smoking ceremony. Take some time to peruse the gallery and local crafts store at the center. Then, you can explore the Mossman Gorge rainforest and wander the trails and boardwalks through this ancient environment. Learn about the local Kuku Yalanji people’s special relationship with the land here at the information points along the way.
Upon return to the Mossman Gorge Centre, enjoy a delicious lunch at the Mayi Café. Then, go toJanbal Gallery for an art‘Binna’ Swindley, where you can learn ancient Dreamtime stories, local history, and how these are shared through their art. Create your own unique souvenir to take home with you in the form of a canvas you paint with the guidance of Binna to tell your own story with techniques you will learn. Finally, once the tour is over, enjoy your return coach transfer back to your pickup location.
