The Rila Monastery is the biggest and the most beautiful in Bulgaria - there you will have a 30-minute tour, followed by 2.5-hours of free time to explore the museums, the shops, take photos or choose to have a lunch.

On the way back to Sofia you will visit the old Boyana Church, famous for its frescoes dating back to the 13th century. The visit there is relatively short (about 20 minutes) but it is definitely worth it!

The Boyana church is closed on the 1st of January, on the Sunday of the Orthodox Easter, on the 24th of December, 25th of December and the 31st of December
