What to expect
Mindelo with its colourful historic centre is the cultural heart of Cape Verde. Admire the striking colonial imprint, that is evident in its architecture, and appreciate the lively atmosphere of the bustling city life and the cosy harbour.
On this walking tour, your local guide shows you all the highlights of the city. This half-day tour is an ideal first introduction to the city to get to know the fruit- and veggies market, the African square Praca Estrela, the pink people's palace, the Tower of Belem replica, local souvenir shops and much more. The entrance to the museum of the most famous singer of São Vicente, Cesaria Evora, is included as well.
The tour finishes at a restaurant on a beautiful roof terrace overlooking the bay. Here you will enjoy a tasting of Cape Verde's products including goat cheese, herbal tea, papaya jam and couscous.
