What to expect
There's a whole treasure chest of sea life living around Cyprus's shores, and this small group tour lets you experience the underwater world without the need for a diving course or even heavy equipment. You'll take the plunge on either an underwater walk – complete with space-age helmet – or underwater scooter along the seabed.
You'll be picked up from your hotel and taken to Ayia Triada Beach. From here you'll board a boat that'll scoot you across to the platform. All you'll need is your bathing gear. You don't have to worry about heavy tanks, and you can even keep your glasses on or contact lenses in.
Choose an underwater walk sees to stride across the seabed in a helmet with fresh air that's constantly pumped in, so there are no breathing regulators. There's also the environmentally friendly underwater scooter to admire marine life without getting your hair wet. It works by using a B.O.B – a Breathing Observation Bubble – and an instructor to guide you along.
Important to know
- Undersea Walk - children must be over 8 years old to participate, at least 120cm tall and minimum shoulder width 32cm
- Undersea Scooter - minimum age is 13 years with a minimum height of 1.45m to participate
- Not recommended for expectant mothers
- Not suitable for guests who suffer from back or neck issues, a history of health conditions, seizures, respiratory problems (including asthma) and anxiety
- Digital photo/video packages of the experience are available, payable in cash directly to supplier - between EUR 20 -25
