Enjoy a half-day tour to Banjul the capital city of Gambia and learn about the history of this fascinating city. Our tour starts at Serrekunda, the largest town in the country. Upon arrival we will visit a tie and dye batik factory that is in business since 30 years. Here we witness a display of batik items and you will be given the chance to do some shopping if you like.
Next, we head towards Banjul and the first stop will be the National Museum. The guided tour will last 45 minutes and you will learn more about the history and local traditions of the city. Continue to the St. Albert’s Market, which is a daily market that has clothes, crafts, food and many other African souvenirs at affordable prices
Lunch will be served at the New Bacchus Restaurant or similar where and you'll have some of the best African dishes served buffet style! Relax and enjoy the breeze of the Atlantic Ocean.
Our last stop is at Arch 22. Erected in honor of the July 22nd Revolution, this 37m high arch offers a spectacular view of the whole city. Enjoy a nice refreshment before hopping on back the vehicle returning to your hotel.
