Düsseldorf's New Centre Guided Tour

Green and urban, the city's formula for the future! On this guided tour through Düsseldorf's New Centre, you will experience architecture and nature in an impressive symbiosis. Explore the urban landscape between Königsallee and Hofgarten. Two of Düsseldorf's still new landmarks are important stations: the Kö-Bogen I and II.

The banishment of traffic underground made it possible - Düsseldorf's new centre. The area at the upper end of Königsallee and around Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz is characterized by the signature of two great architects: The elegantly curved Kö-Bogen I by New Yorker Daniel Libeskind meets the urban planning vision of Düsseldorf's Christoph Ingenhoven. His climate-fit Ingenhoven Valley (also known as Kö-Bogen II) was completed in 2021. 30,000 hornbeams create Europe's largest green façade.

Vis-à-vis: the triangular market hall with a walk-on lawn roof. From here you can enjoy the view of the historic Hofgarten and two icons of post-war architecture - Düsseldorf's Schauspielhaus and Dreischeibenhaus. Our guide will give you further unusual perspectives on old and new city structures.
