Escape to the wonderful Marathon Lake and pay a visit to Costas Lazaridis Domaine for a unique winery tour with tasting and lunch to a local tavern, on this private premium seven hours tour.
Following the route close to Marathon you'll approach the lake where the first stop takes place. Marathon Lake is a water-supply reservoir of Athens city, formed from the construction of Marathon Dam at the junction of the Charadros and Varnavas torrents. There you'll have enough time for photos of the stunning view of the Marathon lake dam.
Continuing the tour around the lake, you'll enjoy uncharted routes and panoramic views, until you reach Rathes and the fairy forest of Varnava. There you can admire the colors and the dense vegetation making it an ideal stop in Greek nature.
Following the uncharted route, crossing through vineyards you'll be taken to Costas Lazaridis Wine Museum and Oinotria Land winery. Your wine expert will welcome you and the winery tour about the process of making wine, along with the production of local distilled spirits and balsamic vinegar will start. The tour will continue at the wine cellars where you will do a wine tasting session of 3 wines and one vinegar along with local cheese and traditional oak and barley breads.
Then you'll follow a quick route around Kapandriti, where you'll have lunch stop to satisfy your appetite accompanied by local Greek dishes, before ending the tour and return to Athens with the best memories and flavors.
