Izmir - Ancient Ephesus Tour with House of the Virgin Mary
The hills around Kuşadası are home to two of Turkey's most popular historical sites – the ancient city of Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary. You'll be whisked through centuries of history at Ephesus, see one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and visit an important pilgrimage site on Mount Koressos – all in one afternoon. Esra, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘The Library of Celsus is one of the most impressive landmarks of Ephesus. It once held over 12,000 scrolls and was the third-largest library in the ancient world.'Kick off with a drive into the sun-soaked hills to visit the House of the Virgin Mary. According to popular belief, St John the Evangelist brought Mary to Ephesus after the crucifixion of Jesus, and she lived here until her death. Next, it's time to head to the ancient city of Ephesus, where a journey through history awaits. Your guide will lead you around the sprawling archaeological site and point out its highlights while regaling you with fascinating historic tales of this once-powerful city.You'll stroll down marble-paved streets where mosaics and frescoes still decorate the walls of ancient Roman houses, gaze at the Temples of Artemis and Hadrian, and be blown away by the Library of Celsus. Esra says, ‘I love to imagine the Great Theatre filled with 25,000 spectators. They would come to watch gladiator clashes, political rallies and performances in this theatre, a hub of city life. You can almost hear the roar of the crowd.'

Majorca - Palma by Night with Optional Guided Tour or Dinner
By day Palma is a medieval wonderland, by night it's a radiant hive of activity. You'll be taken to Majorca's elegant capital for an evening away from your resort. Browse designer stores, dine in trendy Santa Catalina or stroll on the city walls under the Gothic cathedral. Xisco, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘La Llotja is a 600-year-old medieval exchange. It's free to visit and you can follow its twisting Gothic columns as they wind their way to the ceiling. You can also spot a ‘spy box', where spotters would look down on the crowd to see if anyone was stealing.'Arriving Palma in the early evening, you'll have about five hours to spend in the capital. You can choose to have the evening to yourselves with five hours of free time to wander at your own pace and perhaps find a place to enjoy a meal. Alternatively, you could opt to join a guided tour of the historic city to get some local insight as you weave through the amospheric streets for around 90 minutes. If you decide to book the dinner option, you'll dine in the Cellar sa Premsa restaurant at 8pm.Most shops are open late so you can visit the boutiques and high street stores around the tree-lined boulevard of Passeig d'es Born, or browse for souvenirs near the cathedral, which glows in after-dark floodlighting. Palma is a city which stays up late, and many cultural attractions such as La Llotja and Es Baluard Modern Art Museum stay open until 8 or 9pm, so you can sightsee even on an evening visit.

You'll journey by 4x4 along the scenic coastlines and lush landscapes of Sinemorets to see sea views, tranquil villages, rock formations and the Rezovska River. Irena, one of our expert local guides, says ‘Located right on the Turkish border, Rezovo is influenced by both Bulgarian and Turkish cultures. This is reflected in the local customs, cuisine, and even the language spoken by some of its residents.'We'll get the tour started with a quick safety talk from your guide regarding the route and the day's programme before you hop into a 4x4 and set off along the Black Sea coast. Rumble along the captivating coastline of Sinemorets, where you'll have several opportunities to capture great photos. Dive deeper into nature as you steer through the Strandzha woods and take a rugged off-road trail to the Veleka River.Once we arrive at Rezovo, you'll take a walk to Rezovska River to see fascinating rock formations before enjoying time to soak up the tranquillity of the seaside village, from where the border with Turkey is visible. After a brief comfort break, we'll call in at a local beekeeper. Majorca - Majorca Winery Visit with Wine & Local Food Tasting
This tour takes you to the heart of Majorca's wine country to sample the fruits of a small family-run winery. We'll head to the village of Santa Maria del Camí to visit Bodega Ramanyà for a guided tour, rounding off the experience with a typical Majorcan snack. Xisco, one of our local guides, says, ‘The family stands for rural Mallorca. They are very entertaining and will tell you all about the history of the island through their collection of farming artefacts.'During your journey to the grape-growing region of Binissalem, which is a Denomination of Origin, your expert guide will give you the lowdown on the island's wines. This terroir is situated near the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains and, says Xisco, ‘the fertile earth and the sunny weather give the local wines a special taste'. By visiting a local family-run bodega, you'll be contributing to a fairer distribution of revenues – some of the biggest producers of Majorcan wine have vineyards nearby.As you tour the vineyards and winery, you'll learn about the grape varieties, their harvesting, ageing and bottling. You'll also be able to observe the family's collection of artefacts from yesteryear. These were used for the cultivation of the grapes and tilling of the land. Then, comes the best part – you'll sample three wines of your choice alongside a tapas-style snack made from locally sourced ingredients. Try breads, olive oils, cheeses, and more, all washed down with the cellar's own wines.

Our experiences are designed to minimize their environmental impact, particularly in areas of high biodiversity. They may include eco-friendly transport, such as electric boats, and routes designed to reduce disruption to flora and fauna. They may also exclude single-use plastics.
What's the GSTC?
The Global Sustainable Tourism Council® (GSTC) establishes and manages global standards for sustainable travel and tourism, known as the GSTC Criteria. It's an independent and non-profit organization whose goal is to achieve best practices in sustainable tourism.
How our process works
Every experience is assessed across up to 11 areas, from the environment to human rights. The goal is to maximise the benefits and minimise the negative impacts to a destination within local constraints. All activity and tour operators, restaurants, venues, guides and transport providers included in the experience are evaluated. This process is the first of its kind to be applied to experiences on a global scale and has been approved by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
Starting point
Our assessment is based on the GSTC criteria for Tour Operators and its pillars. Section A: Demonstrate effective sustainable management Section B: Maximise social and economic benefits to the local community and minimise negative impacts Section C: Maximise benefits to cultural heritage and minimise negative impacts Section D: Maximise benefits to the environment and minimise negative impacts
Our system
We've used the GSTC criteria to create an evaluation process across 11 areas: Legal & Compliance, Human Resources, Communication, Healthy & Safety, Charity & Donations, Environmental, Products & Services, Operations, Animal Welfare, Human Rights and Child Protection.
Application
All elements of an experience, from food to transport and activity suppliers, have to fill out a questionnaire covering up to 11 areas mentioned previously. The experience is then assessed on its individual elements and as a whole. If it meets the necessary requirements it gets labeled as 'Green & Fair'.
Auditing
Our sustainability management system and process have been audited by the independent body Control Union. They also perform annual on-site evaluations in destinations to monitor ongoing compliance.
