You will start with a guided journey around the Golden Circle where you will visit three of Iceland’s most famous sites. Afterwards you can explore Reykjavík at your leisure with a hop-on hop-off bus.
Your Golden Circle visit starts at the Geysir geothermal area where you will see the geyser Strokkur shoot a column of water up to 30 metres into the air every 4-8 minutes. Your next stop is Gullfoss, a step waterfall created by the glacial river Hvítá which tumbles and plunges into a 32-metre deep crevice.
You will also visit the historical and geological wonder that is Þingvellir National Park, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling apart at a rate of a few centimetres per year. Additionally, you will visit the Friðheimar greenhouse cultivation centre where you will learn about growing delicious, pesticide-free tomatoes with the aid of geothermal heat which Iceland has in abundance.
Once you've completed the Golden Circle tour, it is time to explore the city. This experience includes a 24-hour ticket to the Reykjavik Sightseeing hop-on hop-off bus which can be done on the date and time of your choice. The bus stops for are conveniently located and you will be able to visit all the must-see sites of Reykjavik in an easy and fun way.
