Goan sunset dinner cruise on the Mandovi River
Watching the sun dip below the horizon as you float where the Mandovi River meets the Arabian Sea is a holiday moment in India you'll remember forever. On this catamaran cruise, you'll have plenty of time to soak up the views while listening to live music and dining on Indian fare.
Settle into your evening with a drink and some starters as you make your way along the river past a couple of local villages, including Old Goa, Chorao, and Nerul. Here, you'll see a mix of churches, temples and Portuguese architecture, all of which give you an idea of Goa's colonial past.
As you cruise towards the Atal Setu Bridge and the city of Panjim, look right and have your camera ready for when the white facade of the 17th-century Church of Our lady of Penha de Franca files into frame. From here, you'll glide out to the best spot for the sunset. Anchor here for 30 minutes, taking in the haze of pinks, oranges and reds reflecting on the water. As you return along the river to Old Goa jetty, enjoy a buffet dinner as a new vision of Panjim emerges, a city lit up and bustling with nightlife.
