Here, you'll discover the iconic Hindu Shaivite temple of Ulun Danu. Sat on a small viewpoint overlooking the lake, the temple is home to the Goddess of Waters named Danu, who's believed to control the island's irrigation system. Finally, you'll visit Taman Ayun Temple, a 17th-century Royal Temple of the Mengwi Empire. Set against giant fish ponds, the name Taman Ayun roughly translates as 'beautiful garden' – and it really is.
