Known as Bali’s "Mother Temple," Besakih Temple is the island's largest and holiest temple complex. Located on Mount Agung's slopes, it features over 80 temples, with Pura Penataran Agung at its centre. This sacred site offers intricate carvings, towering pagodas, and panoramic views.
Tirta Gangga, a former royal palace, is famed for its stunning water garden. Built in 1946, it includes tiered fountains, lush gardens, and stone sculptures. The clear spring water pools are perfect for a refreshing dip or feeding colourful koi fish, offering a tranquil atmosphere.
Pura Luhur Lempuyang, one of Bali's oldest temples, is perched high on Mount Lempuyang. It's renowned for its Gates of Heaven, where you can capture breathtaking views of Mount Agung framed by the iconic split gate.
