What to expect

Discover Florence starting from the Accademia Gallery and the art of Michelangelo.

Marvel at his most renowned work, the David, and other important works of art, such as the Prigioni, San Matteo, and the Pietà di Palestrina. The young Michelangelo depicted a magnificent nude young man at the height of his physical vigor, whose intense expression of strength and courage - which originated from an absolute faith in God - roses as a symbol of power and invincibility of the Florentine Republic at the time. The visit continues with the discovery of the Medici district, where you can admire the amazing palace where they lived, the ancient San Lorenzo Church, and the Medici Chapels, their mausoleum. A few steps away you will find the marvelous Duomo monumental Complex: the Baptistery with its golden Porta del Paradiso, the Cathedral with the famous Brunelleschi Dome, and the elegant Giotto bell tower. The tour then goes through the characteristic streets of the medieval district where Dante and Beatrice lived. You can also admire the imposing and unique Church of Orsanmichele, a masterpiece of Florentine Gothic art. You will also discover the picturesque Mercato Nuovo or Straw Market: don’t forget to rub the nose of the famous pig, the porcellino.

The tour continues with a walk on the romantic Ponte Vecchio. Finally, you will arrive in Piazza Signoria, one of the most beautiful squares in the world dominated by the majestic Palazzo Vecchio.
