Renowned for mouthwatering pizzas, Mount Vesuvius and its vibrant buzz – there’s another side of Naples bursting with superstitions, traditions, and beliefs. And, on this small group tour, you’ll get to dive deep into the colourful characters, folklore, and mythology that animate Neapolitan life. Maria, one of our expert, local guides says, ‘From lucky numbers to the mischievous Munaciello – playful protector of Neapolitan homes – this tour promises an exciting peek into the real Naples'.

Your adventure kicks off at the bustling Piazza Bellini, where ancient Greek relics hint at Naples' origins. Venture down Via dei Tribunali, encountering a world of witchcraft, rituals and age-old superstitions until you reach the Chiesa di Santa Luciella, dedicated to Saint Lucia, protector of eyesight. Its underground crypt houses a unique 'skull with ears,' where Neapolitans pray to lift abandoned souls from Purgatory to Heaven. Next up, take a selfie with the Pulcinella statue – a quick rub of its nose promises good luck and laughter. Keep your eyes peeled for a Banksy masterpiece as you continue walking along this street food hotspot.

At the Duomo, you’ll meet San Gennaro, Naples’ patron saint – and learn about his miraculous blood and treasures. Along Spaccanapoli, you’ll see Bar Maradonna and the Hospital of Dolls – its an unusal location – until you reach Piazza San Domenico and the Church of Gesù Nuovo. Your guide will reveal hidden music and symbols in its diamond facade, before rou
nding off the tour with an espresso. You’ll feel like a real Neapolitan by the end of this tour.
