Strap on your sandals and dust off your togas – it’s time to uncover the ancient wonders of Pompeii. On this tour, you’ll step right into the ancient hustle and bustle of public life, while also catching a glimpse of lavish lifestyles of the Roman elite. Maria Novella, one of our expert guides, says, ‘these are some of the most famous Roman ruins, and you’re in for a treat. From everyday pots and pans to dazzling jewellery and mesmerising frescoes, it’s incredible to think they’ve endured over 2000 years.’
Exploring this UNESCO site kick starts at the Forum – the bustling heart of ancient Pompeii. With every click of your camera capturing top sights such as the basilica, marketplace, and temples, you'll feel the echoes of daily life through the cobblestones. You’ll practically rub elbows with toga-clad locals, unwinding after a day at the baths – and your guide will unveil Pompeii’s daily routines, traditions, and customs, offering a history lesson like no other.
Prepare to be wowed as you step into the lavish private houses of Pompeii, decked out in breathtaking frescoes, mosaics, and fountains. Keep your eyes peeled for the plaster casts of victims frozen in time – a haunting reminder of Pompeii's tragic fate. And against the backdrop of Mount Vesuvius, you'll snap those all-important Insta-worthy shots of the city frozen in time. Plus, you’ll have the chance to explore newly excavated areas and the latest discoveries, adding an extra thrill to your adventure.
