What to expect

This is the sweet event of the Venice Carnival in Costume® held in the historical Ridotto Hall of the hotel Monaco, where you will enjoy hot chocolate and Venetian carnival sweets in a festive atmosphere.

You will learn the basic steps of 19th Century dances, and be able to replicate them easily. It's not necessary to come with a partner nor to know how to dance.

It is compulsory to wear a period costume.

You can choose between the following options available in the order box: Entrance ticket is the experience only without costume rental, Option 1 includes the category Standard costume rental (quality period costumes), Option 2 includes the category Superior costume rental (more elaborate and rich period costumes). All the costumes are designed and made by hand in Venice.

Not allowed:

to enter without a period costume (it's obligatory to come dressed in correct costumes)

Know in advance:

at check-out, you will be asked if any food allergies and/or intolerances
ticket option 1 with standard category costume rental: period costumes inspired by the European fashion of the 1700s and 1800s with quality fabric and trimming. Unique models not mass-produced
ticket option 2 with superior category costume rental: more elaborate and rich period costumes inspired by the fashion of the European courts of the 1700s and 1800s, with fine fabric, elaborate embroidery, Venetian pearls and high-quality details. Unique models not mass-produced
entrance without costume rental is the entrance ticket option, but please note, it is compulsory to come dressed in period costume
all costume rentals must be returned the following morning by 11.00am. If serious damages to the costumes are made, extra charges will apply
costume rentals do not include accessories such as masks, hats, wigs, and capes, which are extras, but not mandatory to enter the party
