Dive into the mystical world of the Mayas as you explore an underground river and cave – a truly magical start to your adventure. The Mayas revered cenotes as sacred places imbued with magical powers, and these natural wonders are exclusive to the Yucatan Peninsula. From the cave, a brief 10-minute journey through the jungle will bring you to the neighbouring Mayan community of Sonia.
Upon arrival, witness the Shaman and his fire warrior assistant preparing for your ceremony. When you're ready, begin your walk towards the circle of fire. After the ceremony, the Shaman will cleanse your sweat by pouring warm water over your body from a jar. From there, you'll descend into a cenote and feel the beneficial contrast as you plunge from the warmth of the Temazcal into the cool waters of the cenote.
After achieving tranquillity in the cenote, savour a homemade Mayan dinner. This authentic culinary experience is the ideal way to conclude your day of exploration. So come along, be reborn and reenergised in this extraordinary journey through Maya's mystical world.
