What to expect

Enjoy an active excursion in the nature close to Amsterdam. Board a canoe in the afternoon and watch the sunset from water enjoying the unique landscape. Paddle through moorland-meadows and see the fascinating 17th century villages, the same area that was inspiring some of Holland’s most famous painters, Ruysdael and Rembrandt.

Your guide will lead you through the dense reed land and tell you about the intriguing history of the area. You’ll also learn about the plants and wildlife, such as the carnivorous plant sundew and the black-tailed godwit. There will be many opportunities to get off the canoe and at one of the stops, you'll get to enjoy a picnic with cheese, wine and much more.

Children must be 7 years or older to participate
Please dress appropriately. Shoes can get wet and dirty
In order to be able to take part, clients should be fit and that should be able to swim
