What to expect
As you leave the city of Tromsø behind, you will be able to admire the skyline of the third-largest city in the Arctic Circle in the morning light. Set course south to one of the beautiful fjords in the region; Ramfjord. From marine life that flourishes here to the historic cold war facility of Olavsvern, the fjord is rich with stories.
Then, continue to an old fishing facility on the island of Kvaløya. Pass by Ristraumen, a heavy current and a well-known local fishing spot. Here, you'll get to the fishing facility, you'll step on land and learn more about how important the fishing industry was for the history of northern Norway and still is to this day and how it has shaped families and culture. Your guide will show you the traditional and famous drying racks that are dotted over the Norwegian coast and are used to make ‘stockfish’. Get a deeper insight into how the fish goes from fjord to plate, and how things have changed throughout history. Afterward, you will get to try a little taste of the very products that were produced here and are still being made.
Warm, indoor lounges with panoramic windows will provide fantastic views of the epic coastal scenery of Arctic Norway. You'll hear stories and learn about local culture, history and nature while on the lookout for wildlife.

- Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed and the underwater drone will be launched if conditions allow it
- Food and beverages are not included, they are available for purchase on the boat
- The tour may be canceled if the weather forecast is unsafe or if the minimum amount of participants is not reached
- Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before departure
