Visit Underground of the Main Market Square - a branch of the Historical Museum of the City of Krakow located under the eastern part of the Main Market Square. Learn what has happened in Market Square for almost 800 years of its existence!
First, you will walk around the square itself, find the most interesting artifacts of the old times and unravel their purpose. Find out what events took place on the square, what legendary persons have been here. After that, you will descend 4 meters underground to the Dungeon Market Museum and arrive on the same level as the cobbled roads of Krakow 12-13th century. Learn what this difference in height comes from. See the first trading rows built here, the rings and coins that were lost by the people of Krakow in the 13th century.
