You will meet your guide in the Plaza de las Tendillas to start a walking route in which you will discover the historical stages of Córdoba. You will go first to see the Cristo de los Faroles, the most revered sculpture of the people of Cordoba. You will continue discovering the rich heritage of Córdoba by approaching the Roman temple, Plaza de la Correderra, Plaza del Potro or the churches of San Pablo and San Francisco. Did you know that they are two of the most impressive Fernandina churches in the city?
Changing your religion, you will walk through the labyrinthine alleys of the Jewish quarter of Córdoba and visit the Synagogue. Near this building is the Municipal Zoco, an essential place to learn about the delicate Cordoban crafts. The next stop will be at the Santa María baths, which date back to the 10th century. This place will allow you to travel back in time to discover how people lived in Córdoba during the time of Muslim domination.
In the last section of the route, you will pass by the current Palacio de Congresos, which in its day was the home of the Umayyads, a residential corral, a hospital and a foundling house. The tour will end admiring the Roman bridge and the Calahorra tower next to the Guadalquivir river.
