What to expect

Your journey begins from Santander towards your first destination: the Sequoia forest on Monte Cabezón. This extraordinary natural space, unparalleled in Europe, boasts towering sequoias that reach over 36 meters high, making you feel minuscule amidst such grandeur.

Next up is Comillas, where you'll explore one of the city's architectural treasures: El Capricho by Gaudí. This modernist edifice, adorned with a ceramic façade and intricate details, exemplifies the genius of the renowned architect. You'll also discover other significant sites including the Fountain of the Three Spouts, the Corro Campíos, and the Church of San Cristóbal - a neo-Gothic temple reflecting the town’s spirituality. Along your journey, you'll pass by the old Town Hall, the Corro San Pedro, and the statue of the Heart of Jesus, offering panoramic views of the surroundings. A visit to Casa Ocejo, a Baroque masterpiece with an impressive coat of arms, is also on the agenda.

Your adventure continues to Santillana del Mar, a town seemingly frozen in time. Starting at the Town Hall, you'll amble through its cobbled streets, passing by the House of the Archduchess Margarita of Austria and the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana - a prime example of Cantabrian Romanesque architecture. You'll explore medieval palaces, towers, and monuments before reaching Juan Infante Street, known for its grand mansions, and the Parador de Santillana.

In Santillana del Mar, you'll have some free time to savour the local cuisine.
