See Europe's first mountain railway and enjoy a boat ride on beautiful Lake Lucerne. The trip also includes a visit to the charming old town of Lucerne.
The journey starts with a lovely scenic coach ride along the beautiful Lake of the Four Cantons to Weggis, a charming summer resort on the shores of the lake. Board the aerial cable car to Rigi Kaltbad where you change to Europe's first mountain railway, which leads up to the summit of Rigi-Kulm (1800m).
In the afternoon, you'll descend by cogwheel train to Vitznau and board the public boat for a lovely 1-hour cruise on the picturesque Lake of the Four Cantons towards Lucerne. Here you can enjoy a stroll on the medieval streets of the charming old town and see the famous Chapel Bridge, the Jesuit Church and the Town Hall.

- A professional guide will accompany you from Zurich to Weggis and from Lucerne back to Zurich. The way up and down Mt. Rigi and the boat ride in Lucerne are unguided. For this part, you'll receive detailed, written information
- No refunds will be offered due to poor or less than ideal weather conditions
- Refunds aren't possible for last-minute tour cancellations due to flight changes or unforeseen health issues. Please consider travel insurance before your trip to cover such situations
- From 25 to 29 Nov 2024 / 10 Mar to 4 Apr 2025 / 17 to 21 Nov 2025 / 24 to 28 Nov 2025 / 09 to 31 Mar 2026 ascent and descent are by a cogwheel train, due to aerial cable car maintenance
- During the months of March and November, tour routing and means of transport, including cable cars, may have to be unexpectedly amended - without prior notice, due to maintenance work
