The pavilion was initially erected during Sultan Mahmud I's reign, reflecting the era's fascination with the Bosphorus shores. It came into existence upon the recommendation of a Grand Vizier and opened its doors in 1751. The pavilion underwent significant transformations in 1856-1857, eventually becoming a museum in 1983. Its garden and historical ambiance provide a remarkable backdrop for visitors keen on exploring Istanbul's past. Built from brick and stone, this two-storey edifice stands as a symbol of the city's historical heritage.
